This editorial is a little more redundant then in years
past, due to the evolution of my personal blog as a space to pass on information
at a more steady pace. However, it's evident by now that I enjoy talking to
myself, so I'll take this opportunity to pass on my vision for the future of e-AAGH.net.
My first goal is a slight restructuring of the review
process. I'll likely be keeping what I have now in place, but adding a 'you will
like it if/you won't like it if" self debate to either compliment or replace the
final score. I feel that the final score is way too subjective and needs some
form of tweaking. We'll see how that goes.
In other news, I may finally be dulling on the sea
green/pale blue color scheme, so that may change in the future. I may go back to
the old silver and gold look, or I may go another route entirely. I'm not
decided on whether I'll change anything, so that's something else to watch.
Finally, I may be finally pulling the plug on our anime
sections, due to lack of support. I've not lost my love for anime, it's just
that it is much harder (and somewhat more expensive) to review anime then games.
If I do cut anime out, don't expect a name change; e-AAGH.net is
this site's identity and it would take way too long to build a new one. I'll...
just play with the meaning of the name. Again, keep your eyes peeled.
Last but by no means least, our annual Game of the Year
awards is en route, and I want it to be the best yet, so it'll be slightly later
then usual. Alphasim out.
